Okay, do you have a favorite show currently on TV? For me it's Whitney (on NBC Wednesdays).
And I'll be writing about it tomorrow. But I bring it up because my show's probably coming back. This time.
But it's that time of year when the networks start deciding who to keep and who to trash. And last May I lost my two favorite shows. And the same the year before.
Pretty much anything I root for tends to get the axe. So I'm really happy about Whitney. As soon as it's official that's it's renewed, Betty, Ann and I are writing a post about our blogging on the show and about Ava and C.I.'s explaining to us the best way we could help the show.
Whitney's a great show. And today everyone knows it as the funny NBC sitcom. It's a rare thing, NBC having a funny sitcom. And it's got an audience and is a hit. Again, rare for NBC sitcoms.
But there was a real effort to kill the show at the start, a lot of sexism and b.s. as people went after this show. If you don't remember how it was or didn't notice in real time, go read Ava and C.I.'s "TV: The perverts still drool over Shirley Temple" from October 2nd.
Here's C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
