Upyernoz comments to insult and attack Lambert over and over.
This is very clear and not confusing. For example, the 3:06 pm comment by Upyernoz is supposed to insult and anger Lambert:
once again, i am struck by the similarity between lambert's behavior and what i encounter when i adventure in right blogistan (at least until they ban me). maybe i should start calling you pam atlas. pambert?
I don't read Pam (I think her blog is called Atlas Shrugged -- I could be wrong on that). Her last name is something like "Geller." I know of her only because of what left blogs say about her. And it's not good. They see her as a racist and much, much worse. She may be, she may not be. I've never read her.
But I do know that on our side (the left) comparing someone to her is intended as a very serious insult.
So I really dislike DC Blogger rushing in to defend this nonsense:
that is really uncalled for. Upyernoz made a very mild criticism. He is not attacking, not trolling, just pointing out that the President did something good and thinks you took a cheap shot.
I think he is right about why we are isolated here at Corrente Wire, but isloated or not, it is how we feel about Obama. But I don't think there is any occasion to snap at him.
DC Blogger, as many have noted before me, is nothing but a D-apologist. He or she is all about attacking the monsters (Republicans) and say a few words -- if forced -- about Dems.
DC Blogger is ridiculous. But set that aside and read the nonsense comment he left (noted above). There's no excuse for that.
I have comments here. I never read them.
What you're reading is my space.
I write here.
You can write in the comments. If you want.
If there's something objectionable, I'll hear about it in an e-mail.
If it's someone insulting me, I could care less and it stays.
But if it's racist or sexist or homophobic, I do reserve the right to delete it.
My point is, someone dropped by Corrente to be rude to Lambert.
I can get behind that. I can get behind someone ticks you off and you just want to leave a comment.
But the U-person made their point and refused to move on. It was clear why s/he didn't like Lambert. It was clear that this was a repeat of Team Obama's Sock Puppet Theater 2008.
That should have been it.
Instead U-person wanted to continue to comment and continue and continue.
Go away. You don't like the site? Fine. You said so. Now go somewhere else. There was no exchange going on because the U-person was flipping through the standard playbook. It was all attempts at baiting.
So the person should have gone away.
I felt Lambert defended himself and I felt he did much nicer than I would have.
I also felt he (Lambert) tried to use humor and that's why DC Blogger's nonsense really ticks me off.
I have criticized probably everyone on line. I'm sure I've criticized Lambert at some point. If I haven't, I'm sure I will before I shut down my blog.
But I also do have posts where I say, "Hold on, this isn't fair."
What the U-person was doing wasn't fair and it wasn't fair of DC Blogger to ignore that and act as though the U-person was taking the high ground and Lambert was being a screeching troll.
Now read the snapshot and picture it's you waiting years and years to find out what happened to your kidnapped husband and that, just last July, the kidnappers were saying he was alive and now it turns out that he's been dead for years and the kidnappers want to insist that they are "honestly sorry" for their actions.
Here's C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
