Cedric's "Dickless Alter's in love" and Wally's "THIS JUST IN! DICKLESS ALTER!" went up last night and others posting last night followed Rebecca and Betty's lead from earlier in the week ("scream" and "Halloween") by doing posts on scary movies in anticipation of Halloween on Monday. Isaiah's "The Unity Campaign" (The Birds), Ann's "4 men and Psycho," Ruth's "The Haunting," Marcia's "The Bad Seed," Stan's "Aliens," Kat's "Mothra vs. Godzilla," Trina's "Horror of Dracula," Mike's "The Omen," Betty's "Brian De Palma" and Rebecca's "empire of the ants."
I loved them all but especially could have written about the ones Ruth, Trina and Kat wrote about. I love all the movies but could have easily ended up writing about Christopher Lee's Dracula or The Haunting (best haunted house movie ever) or Godzilla and Mothra.
And I really love it when we do theme posts. We used to do them every week for awhile there but we all have our own things to cover and it's not always easy to pull it together for a night. Betty and Rebecca wanted this as a theme and they started with it earlier in the week.
Now Whitney (NBC, Thursday nights but you can stream at the link). That show just gets funnier and funnier each week.
I think it's the funniest show on TV right now.
My favorite moment was the lap dance.
Whitney and Alex are a young couple who live together. Alex has this annoying tone when he's lecturing and he denies the tone and denies the lecturing. Their friend Mark is a police officer and Mark, Whitney and friends Roxanne, Lily and Neal decide that Mark should use a surveillance cam in Whitney and Alex's apartment to catch Alex using the tone.
A number of things happen but when Alex finds out, he decides to see how far Whitney will take this. So he sits on the couch -- in full view of the camera -- and reminds Whitney of that Valentine's Day she gave him a coupon for a lap dance to use at any time and he'd like a lap dance now.
She starts out doing this awful dance standing in front of the couch and that's funny enough but her discomfort and embarrassment as she has to move towards a lap dance and does one is hilarious.
There were so many funny moments in the show but that was my favorite one. It's really become the funniest show on TV.
