I'm not a Republican.
And I'm Black.
And I don't respond well to false charges of racism.
Morgan Freeman tarring and feathering an entire movement (Tea Party) as racist? Makes me want to say, "Old man, take your tired, saggy ass and retire. Before you have another drunken wreck with another woman half your age, your sorry sack of s**t."
If you read Ava and C.I.'s "TV: The perverts still drool over Shirley Temple," you know that Whitney is being trashed by the male critic mind est. I caught up with the show online this week (at the link) and it's a really funny show. You should give it a chance if you haven't already.
I haven't laugh so hard in years at a sitcom. And like Friends, right off the bat, the characters are established. It's not a show where you wait for the writers and actors to figure out who's going to be this type of character or that.
After Whitney, my favorite character is Roxanne.
I wish I were Roxanne!!!! :D
I love her. She's always so funny. Even coming in and ordering a glass of wine -- in a coke can because she's going to be leaving with it and walking through the park.
Roxanne is funny.
Whitney is as well. If you're a woman, I think you'll find some parts of Whitney you identify with. Like the best TV shows, it makes you think about your own circle and your own relationships.
Here's C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
